Painted for the Emperor Jahangir, at the time he had rebelled against his
father Akbar and established a court at Allahabad. Attributed to Abu –al
Hasan 1589 – 1630
Gouache with gold. Narrow gold margin and undecorated paper border. On
the reverse are several inventory notes, one of the librarian of Shah Jahan
and one with an accompanying cirular seal of an officer of the emperor Auranzeb
with the date 1075 / A.D. 1666 - 1667
