Brabazon was a landscape and still life watercolourist. Born in Paris. He
was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he read Mathematics.
Studied in Rome for 3 years and took lessons from J.H. d’Egville and
A.D. Fripp. He travelled with Ruskin and Arthur Severn; toured Spain, Egypt,
India etc.
Brabazon was the original member of NEAC. In 1892, Sargent persuaded him to
exhibit some of his drawings at the Goupil Gallery, as up to then he had practiced
as an amateur. Since then his rapis, colourful sketches have been popular
with collectors.
