Chamberlains Worcester plate

Made for the Nawab of the Carnatic.

• Underglaze blue border with embossed floral decoration & central hand-painted flower.
  Soft paste porcelain
  Diameter 26 x 22.5 cms
  

The flower is described on the reverse of the plate as 'Italian Bugloss '. This is taken from 'Curtis's Botanical Magazine' Plate 2197 Vol. 48   1820
