Julius Middleton Boyd was an officer of the English East India Company stationed in Western India during the mid-nineteenth century. An album of thirty-six drawings of landscapes and monuments by him, mainly of locales in Western and Central India, is currently in the collection of the British Library.

Reproduced in an album inscribed: 'Sketches in India', flyleaf inscribed: 'Genrl. Boyd, 56 Coombe Rd. S. Croydon'.


Thirty-six drawings of landscapes and monuments mainly in Bombay and Western India, also Rajasthan and Central India, 1880s. Typed title and notes pasted opposite each drawing. The water-colour on f.34 is misplaced and should have been f.36. The mount is inscribed 'This has been accidently wrongly bound up. This should be the last picture in the book'.
