      Wolfram Onslow Ford was the son of the sculpture Edward Onslow Ford, He studied at the Royal Academy School in London. He painted several Indian subjects and was in Simla in 1924, when he painted this wonderful portrait of the young man who was in charge of the Billiards Room at the Cecil Hotel.
