- Varanasi was my first taste of India. The sights and sounds were turned to maximum and a more visceral landscape lay before me, its people living as though time had been compressed. I felt apart yet welcome. A place who's secrets would take a lifetime to share. My paintings are the residue of an all to brief encounter.
